Six models
LIGHT
For soft food waste. Cooked or raw.
LIGHT takes softer food waste and small bones. Fish bones are fine.
A suitable back-of-house area, with access and services checked for the chosen model. The smallest model is on castors, small enough to wheel from one spot to another.
Soft waste,
and a good deal of it.
Softer food waste and small bones, cooked or raw. Fish bones are fine. From MW30 up, chicken bone, rice dishes and noodles go in too.
It is a composter, not a bin. Nothing is stored and nothing is collected. What goes in at close of service is compost by the time the kitchen opens.
LIGHT has no crushing chamber, so it is built for softer waste and small bones — not oyster shell, crustacean shell or large bone. A kitchen with those needs HARDSTOCK, which crushes before it composts.
One process, six sizes.
Every LIGHT model uses AIRTEC aerobic composting and a controlled temperature hold. Capacity and process time vary by model; MW15 runs a 24–48-hour cycle.
The 80–90% reduction is the MW15 figure, not a figure for the whole family.
Three of the six, as they stand.
Three sizes from the LIGHT family: MW15, MW30 and MW60.
Not shown to scale — the capacity beside each machine is what puts it in order. MW30i and MW60i are the machines above with a different control layer, and MW100 shares the MW60 body.
Same machine. Different panel.
MW30 and MW30i are identical on dimensions, capacity, weight, power draw, energy use, noise band and warranty. What changes is the control layer.
The “i” is a connected control panel. Carbon tracking and ESG reporting are available on it as an optional subscription.
Six models.
Nothing rounded up.
Capacity, chamber, footprint, weight and process time for all six, side by side.

- CE marked — all models.
- MyHIJAU. MW60 is named on MAEKO’s MyHIJAU listing, certificate MyHP00245/25-001 to -005, certified 22 May 2025 and valid to 15 May 2028. Within LIGHT, the listing covers MW60 only.
- Power draw, energy consumption and noise. Ask us for any model and we will send the sheet.
- MW15, MW30 and MW30i are rated per day; MW60, MW60i and MW100 are rated per load. We check cycle time, peak loads and your operating schedule before recommending a model.
- The i is the IoT-ready control layer and nothing else. For MW30i and MW60i every other field is identical to the model without it. It is not a performance tier. Carbon tracking and ESG reporting run on the i models as an optional subscription.
- Dimensions are the composter body only. Check the bay with us before you plan it.
Two add-ons that go in front of it.
Neither one composts. They go in front of the machine, so it gets what it can handle.
Tell us what your kitchen actually puts out.
A waste audit measures it on site over a minimum of two working days. We also check the materials, peak loads and available space. You can discuss your site before booking an audit. If the number says HARDSTOCK, we will tell you that instead.
